Beamish Museum is an open air living museum in County Durham. The museum has a number of transport exibits; including a working tramway, an 1800s wagon-way, a short rail line, and a handful of replica vintage buses.
Admission: Beamish offer a 25% discount for travelling by bus.
Location/Address:Located near Stanley, County Durham. Beamish is served by Go North East routes 28/28A from Newcastle, and 8 from Stanley and Sunderland.
The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum (or SVBM) is one of the larger bus museums in the UK, and features a wide variety of vintage and classic buses with a Scottish connection. Run entirely by volunteers, the museum is now home to 190 buses. The museum is located on part of a former Royal Navy stores depot at Lathalmond, near Dunfermline in Fife.
Unfortunately, the Scottish Vinateg Bus Museum is closed for the remainder of this year, but in normal times is open mostly on Sundays, from 1st April and the 1st October.
Admission: Adults: £ 5, Concessions: £ 3. Prices vary for special events.
